Saanya Chopra (aka. AK1RA) is an Indian designer and multimedia artist based in Melbourne. With a professional background in graphic design and advertising, her practice focuses on 3D animation and interactivity within the field of digital design and urban play. Her work dwells in the realm of abstraction and surrealism with contrasting colours and images that bring about playful creating playful experiences for the audience which provoke thought and imagination.

Her works have been showcased at the Melbourne Design Week exhibition, Data Beyond Numbers. Her most recent project ‘Imagination Hub’ is an immersive play in collaboration with RMIT Play Lab that has facilitated workshops and is scheduled to be displayed at the Melbourne Narrm Ngarrgu Library. Saanya is currently completing her Masters of Animation, Games and Interactivity at RMIT University.
